Don’t forget your soul this holiday season. I have a 9-month-old at home, a husband recovering from major back surgery, a business to run, a book to market, and 2026 to plan so I don’t get left in the dust by AI. Today it hit me. This time, I actually took a nap when my little sweet pea did. Every year I plan to slow down during this season because it’s my absolute favorite. But then Black Friday deals happen… and that gets my head spinning about my dreams and goals for next year — and whether any of those deals will help me achieve them faster. Then the leads come in— “I need my garage cleaned out.” All of those areas are my favorite spaces to organize, so you guessed it — I do my best to accommodate and rock those projects. …and then Christmas parties with good food, friends, and laughter Poof. Can you relate in some form or fashion? Every year this happens. Like clockwork. A new podcast episode where I'm a guest came out this week. When I listened, I was reminded of the very first thing I write about in my book: soul and mind declutter and taking time to refresh our souls. In the book, I incorporate journal prompts and prayers — and this episode brought me right back to that foundation. If you need a moment to breathe, this week’s podcast episode is the perfect place to start. We talk about clutter, the heart behind decluttering, and the G.R.A.C.E. method that’s transformed so many homes and hearts. It felt like a soul-refresh for me, and I hope it does the same for you.
That was the gentle reminder I needed: my soul matters too this time of year. Now, my goal is to get back to journaling — something I used to do ALL THE TIME. Even if it’s just 5 minutes. Even if what I journal makes no sense. Lol. Your soul matters too this holiday season. We’ve decluttered our houses a little bit, worked our tushies off all year, and started buying Christmas gifts for the people we love so much. Now, this weekend, take 5–10 minutes for you. Fifteen minutes and the Christmas spirit is back. Write me back and let me know if taking these precious 15 minutes helped you reclaim the holidays. Or reply with what is stressing you out the most this Christmas season — I’m curious. Here’s the Advent Devotional I’ve been reading (it’s free if you have Kindle Unlimited):

Release and Renew. A couple of Saturdays ago, I hosted a webinar unexpectedly with my baby in a hotel room with an incredibly full heart. Why? Because some of my dear friends and I had a conversation about the surprising mental and emotional benefits of decluttering — and I wish you could have been there. Because something happened that I didn’t fully expect. Not a big organizing tip.Not a color-coded system. Not the perfect bin recommendation. Instead… We started talking about why it’s so...
I didn't expect this to be so hard. Sometimes letting go isn’t about clutter—it’s about identity. Hi beautiful friend, This week, I froze in my office. Not because I didn’t know what to do…but because I knew exactly what I should do—and didn’t want to. Dylan was napping. The house was quiet. And I was standing there in my office, staring at my theatre books. 🎭 My beloved Tennessee Williams.Chekhov.Shakespeare. Books that carried me through my years as an actor. Books that gave me confidence,...
I am a crazy person. I obsess over every single item I come across at a client's organizing project. I sort and categorize every item—from a pair of pants to a tube of lip gloss. Then I review every item we've unearthed with the client who hired me. Keep.Trash.Donate.Relocate. I’ll lay awake at night thinking through possible Tetris combinations for where to put a category. Should it go in this drawer or that cabinet? Is that how my client functions in the space? Will they love it or hate it?If...
